St Faith's and St John's schools claimed victories in the county round of the Yazoo Boys' National mini hockey school championships at the Leys School.
St Faith's and St John's both won their opening two matches against St Philip's and Rackham in the Under 11 section, before St Faith’s took a 2-0 final victory.
In the Under 13 age group, St John's emerged as clear winners with a 3-0 win over eventual runners-up St Faith's, a 2-1 win over Newport Free Grammar School, a 3-0 victory against Thomas Deacon Academy and a 0-0 draw with Perse.
The winners and runners-up from both matches will go on to compete in the eastern regional round to be held at Bishop's Stortford College on March 17.
The Yazoo National mini hockey clubs championships will take place at the Perse School with boys and girls in the Under 12 and Under 10 age groups in the coming weeks.
