PACTRAC’s Wendy Gooding is set to make her international debut after only taking up duathlons last year to avoid injuries.
Gooding won the 45-49 age group of the two duathlons she competed in at the end of 2009, which prompted her to give the National Championships a go. A sixth place finish earned her a place in the GB team for the World Championships, and she is now waiting to hear if she has made the team for the Europeans.
Gooding, previously known as Wendy Reeson, is the most successful woman in the history of the Frostbite Friendly League, where she claimed 25 victories.
