Wesley Clarke has clinched the British Universities light-heavyweight title in Sheffield.
The Anglia Ruskin University student and Fulbourn fighter had a touch of fortune after being the boxer to receive a bye to the semi-finals with seven in the draw.
Clarke then displayed his best boxing to take the honours as he saw off Leeds University’s Sam Smith 3-1 on points in a close-fought semi before taking Taylor Bellamy of Bath University to task with an emphatic 15-1 triumph in the final.
