Standen elected as new Chairman of CCGP

Chris Standen has been elected as the new Chairman of the Cambridgeshire County Golf Partnership.

Chris works full time at Saffron Walden Golf Club as Marketing, Membership and Events Manager. He has been working at SWGC since leaving school, and now finds himself involved with the Cambridgeshire County Golf Partnership.

Although not a golfer until passing junior age, he is keen to further his own ability, while giving something back to the area by trying to increase participation in golf - be that at SWGC, or any other Club in the region.

He will be chairing the CCGP steering committee, and trying to further promote all the hard work that is taking place behind the scenes.

As with all changes of this type it is tinged with sadness as the Partnership says goodbye and thank you to Geoff Welton who has chaired the steering committee for the last eighteen months. He has worked tirelessly on behalf of the Partnership and will be greatly missed.
