Huntingdon bowler Margaret Elstub has skipped her trio into the semi-finals of the women's rinks at the English Bowling Federation Indoor Championships in Newark.
Elstub led clubmate Heather McKillop and Houghton & Wyton's Janet Lamb to last eight victory against Cleveland's I Cadiz, I Gillespie and J Carson on Wednesday 21 April. However, McKillop's hopes in the mixed rinks with Warboys duo Derek Rose and Brian Brett were ended in the first round.
Haverhill's Peggy Mizon, Steve Botten and A Waters went out in the quarter-finals with a narrow 19-18 defeat, while Somersham trio Richard Stevens, David Hare and Steve Baker won 25-13 in the opening round of the men's rinks.
