The first ASA East Regional Workforce Conference will be taking place on May the 22nd from 9.30am – 5pm in Duxford, Cambridgeshire.
The conference offers something for teachers and coaches at all levels of swimming, including school swimming, learn to swim and club coaching. It will also feature an Awards Ceremony for the Regional Coaching Awards which has nine categories, and nominations for these awards are welcome.
The Awards categories are: FUNdamentals Coach of the Year, Young Coach of the Year, Health & Lifelong Participation Coach of the Year, The Coaching Chain, Skill Development Coach of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Coach Educator of the year, High Performance Coach of the Year and Coach Environment of the year.
The conference has a mixture of keynote presentations and motivational speakers, it also includes informative talks throughout the day which will cover a variety of topics including, integrating disabled participants into your sessions, Long term Athlete Development and High quality school Swimming.
The workshops you attend will depend on if you are a tutor, coach, learn to swim teacher or a school swimming teacher. The conference and awards ceremony will cost £15 per person, with spaces limited so early booking is advised
