Serial Kickers return with top honours

Master Parker’s Serial Kickers had no problem punching above their weight as their stars won top honours at the Tang Soo Do International Championships in Cardiff.

Shannon Parker,15, and 10 year old Jack Hogg stole the headlines after taking first place in the weapons categories but there was also plenty of success for their clubmates too against top fighters from across Europe.

In the senior categories, Andy White, 47, finished second in forms, as did Sean Dickson and Ashley Kidd, while Mark Dixon, 27, claimed second place in fighting.

Youngster Holly White, 14, took third in weapons, Sam Richards, 12, was second in forms, Kieran Gale, 12, claimed third in fighting, while Shannon Skinley, 11, and eight year old Emily Richards claimed respective seconds in fighting.

Master Ian Parker - a sixth Dan black belt – also scooped a special award by the Tang Soo Do Federation for his dedication to the cause.

Serial Kickers will next see action at the World Traditional Karate Association event due to be held in Italy later this year. More information on the club visit the website at www.parkerstangsoodo.co.uk.
