Stan Binge has achieved international recognition at the age of 63 after being selected in England's squad for the forthcoming Angling Veteran World Championships.
The Fox Match Stanjay captain finished fourth out of 16 hopefuls in the qualifying match at Packington Fisheries in Meriden near Coventry, after recording 20lb 12oz to his name.
Binge beat a host of decent anglers to make it into team manager Joe Roberts' five-man party for the trip to Belgium on the weekend of July 10 and 11, with the side travelling to mainland Europe a week in advance to practice.
