Pro-bond Goodjohn set for farewell fight

Tyler Goodjohn made his farewell to amateur boxing in front of a home crowd at Haddenham ABC's sell-out show on Saturday night (29th May).

The former Junior ABA champion is set to turn professional next season despite having been seen as a potential prospect for the London Olympics in 2012.

Goodjohn was up against J Maltby from Nottingham's Bilborough ABC in his amateur swansong at the Arkenstall Village Centre.

Jack Halls was hoping to bounce back from a split-decision defeat to March ABC's Ambrose Draper at a show in Chatteris when he came up against B Stretton from Lincoln's Bracebridge ABC.

Jason Watts aimed to build on a winning debut in his clash with B Tovey from London's Dale ABC, while Liam Goodjohn, Zac Rush, Robbie Nangle were also competing for the club.

Fulbourn fighter Kieran Brandwood looks to come back from a unanimous-verdict defeat on the Chatteris bill when he fought March's Mark Crosby.

Brandwood's clubmate Cameron Gray maintained his unbeaten record with victory on a unanimous decision at the Chatteris show over Ipswich ABC's Barnaby McKeown, while clubmates James Golder and Casey Durning both lost on unanimous verdicts on the same bill.
