Rob Huff is still searching for that elusive home win in the World Touring Car Championship but the Cambridge driver was pleased with his weekend’s work at Brands Hatch.
Thirty-year-old Huff was second in the first of yesterday’s two races behind Chevrolet team-mate Yvan Muller and sixth in the second which was won by BMW’s Andy Priaulx.
Huff remains fourth in the drivers’ standings with 130 points, 69 behind leader Muller, while Chevrolet continues to dominate the manufacturers’ championship.
SEAT driver Gabriele Tarquini and Priaulx are also above him but Huff still hopeful of catching the Frenchman.
Huff, who had to settle for second behind team-mate Alain Menu last year at Brands Hatch, felt some frustration at missing out on a home win but is confident he can top the podium in the future.
