Hemingford-based star Lisa Whybourn has continued her climb up the WTA rankings and has now moved into Britain’s top 10.
The 19 year old has risen to world No. 318 and with no ranking points to defend until the end of the summer she may well break the top 300 in the coming weeks, with an excellent chance to rack up more ranking points this week at $25,000 ITF tournament in Wrexham.
Whybourn’s place in Britain’s top 10 comes at the expense of another county player, Great Chishill’s Georgie Gent, who has been sidelined with a foot injury.
