The English Table Tennis Association (ETTA) is looking to appoint a project officer within the coaching department, primarily involved in the administration, design and implementation of the Change4Life School Clubs project.
The ETTA, in conjunction with Youth Sport Trust and Sport England, will be delivering a course programme across England for the Change4Life programme aiming to set up 775 new school clubs, introducing table tennis in a fun yet competitive environment.
These new clubs will focus on attracting less active young people and those who might be inspired by London 2012 to take up and participate in a range of different activities.
By building a network of modern new junior clubs on school and college sites which are designed from day one to meet the needs of young people, ETTA hope SSPs will be further supported to engage those not currently taking part in their '3rd hour'.
These clubs will not only attract and engage young people but will also develop a sense of belonging within a club setting, and encourage the regular participation that is associated with future community club membership and lifelong participation.
The role will involve design and management of the coaching course programme, appointment and management of coach educators, and development of project resources.
A salary of £19,000 is offered for this full time role with a closing date of Friday 13th August. To apply go to the ETTA website, where you can find copies of the Job Description and Application Form.
