Woods helps PAC finish second in Youth League

Peterborough Athletic Club finished second in the Eastern Young Athletes League last week at the Embankment Track with Georgia Woods and Charlotte Batty picking up three individual wins apiece.

Woods clocked a personal best of 12.4 in the Under 17 women’s 80m hurdles and also took the long jump and javelin as well as running the second leg of the 4x100m relay while Batty took the A-string 200m and 70m hurdles as well as the B-string 100m in the Under 13 girls section.

Max Everest extended his unbeaten record in league action this season by taking his tally of hurdles wins this year into double-figures. Ed Fitch was another Under 17 soaring high as he equalled his PB when clearing 3.50m in the pole vault while Michael Holland recorded two jumps victories in the Under 15 boys.

Jake Berney predictably took both sprints in that section while speedster, Megan Edwards, made a rare appearance over 300m in the Under 15 girls age group and took eighth tenths of a second off her PB when winning by three seconds.
