England rider Laura Trott clinched the British women’s 800m grass track title at the annual Mildenhall Cycling Rally.
Trott, who has been called up for the Commonwealth Games track squad, overcame Border City Wheelers starlet Jo Smith to take the honours, with Mildenhall rider Sarra Boyd claiming bronze.
After winning the national title, Trott also won the women’s omnium ahead of Smith.
Meanwhile, Sue Fenwick was ecstatic after bagging a bronze medal in the last Union Cycliste Internationale World Masters Time Trial Championship. The experienced Swavesey rider completed the 20km mountain valley-based course in 30min 15sec to secure third place in the 45-49 years category in Austria.
