Laura Trott wins Gold on grass track

England rider Laura Trott clinched the British women’s 800m grass track title at the annual Mildenhall Cycling Rally.

Trott, who has been called up for the Commonwealth Games track squad, overcame Border City Wheelers starlet Jo Smith to take the honours, with Mildenhall rider Sarra Boyd claiming bronze.

After winning the national title, Trott also won the women’s omnium ahead of Smith.
