Wimpole Hall has been chosen as the venue once again for BBC Cambridgeshire's and the British Heart Foundation's third Great Cambridgeshire Run. This beautiful setting offers a great day out for family and friends and on the 12th September you have the chance to combine a day out with a run or walk to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation, BBC Trustline and the National Trust.
Run distances are at 1 mile, 5.2 miles and half-marathon, or there's a 9.5 mile walk around Wimpole Estate. Whether you're looking for a physical challenge, a social gathering or a kick start to a healthier way of life, this is the run for you, and you can bring the family to watch or spend the day looking around all the facilities at Wimpole Hall while you take part in the run.
2009 proved a successful year for the Great Cambridgeshire Run.Over 400 participants raised £9561.21 with Trustline and the British Heart Foundation receiving £4553.45 each, and £479.31 going to the National Trust.
You'll be sure to see some of your favourite BBC presenters with Jeremy Sallis and Sue Dougan completing the 13.1 miles last year.
