Learn to dance along with the Stars of this year’s BBC Strictly Come Dancing!

LIVING SPORT Dancing for Fun and Better Health are working in partnership with City College Peterborough to offer a great opportunity for couples aged 50+ to learn Ballroom and Sequence dance,  starting the 24th September at the East Community Centre, Peterborough on Friday mornings.

This is a great opportunity for those wanting to learn how to dance to give it a go in a relaxed atmosphere.  With qualified and experienced dance tutors on hand to guide you through the basic steps of Ballroom and Sequence dancing.  Those with two left feet, and without dance partners are more than welcome to book on!

The Dancing for Fun and Better Health coordinator Claire Smith said ‘It’s a great way to learn something new or to recap the basics.  Dance is fantastic for increasing your fitness, improving balance and coordination and most importantly its great for meeting new people and having fun!’

Market Development Manager at the College, Jackie Hall, said “There has been a revived interest in ballroom dancing since the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing hit our screens.  The public have seen the how dancing can improve general fitness, dexterity and general wellbeing in a fun and stimulating way.  The College has developed a wide range of dance programmes to support the demand of for absolute beginners and people who want to improve their dance skills.”
