St Neots-based bowler Ellen Falkner completed her warm-up for the Commonwealth Games by helping England to an emphatic 22-2 win over a North Region select Team at Wigton.
Ellen and partner Natalie Melmore suffered one of only two defeats by the national team in their opening women's pairs game against Ruth Cullum and Annalisa Bellamy, going down 7-9, 10-2, 2-3 following a tie-break.
But Falkner and Melmore gained revenge over the Lincolnshire duo in their rematch beating them 10-7, 6-6.
They followed it up by doing the double over Vicki Forster, of Cumbria, and Yorkshire's Carole McLean with respective 9-5, 11-4 and 9-2.
