17-year-old tennis player Sam Fleck has enjoyed a summer to remember by making his international breakthrough at junior ITF level.
The Stapleford-based player has achieved a junior world ranking for the first time following a successful run at the Epetion Cup in Croatia. Fleck won 3 qualifying matches to reach the main draw, before losing in the semi-finals.
It was his first international tournament in that age group., but his strong showing has fuelled his ambition to go further and now the Junior Wimbledon is firmly in his sights.
Earlier this summer, Sam helped Great Shelford men's team to the Cambridgeshire League, Division One title for the second year running adn was also part of the mixed team that took top honours in Division One. And last month, he claimed the Cambridgeshire Junior singles title.
