Dancing is restarting at The Maltings in Ely on the Monday 27th September from 2pm until 4pm at a introductory offer. Newcomers welcome.
LIVING SPORT’s Dancing for Fun and Better Health from Age UK ‘fit as a fiddle’ programme works in partnership with East Cambridgeshire District Council and The Maltings to provide a special afternoon of dancing for those aged 50+.
Dancing is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, keep fit and mobile, and of course to have fun. The class includes a wonderful afternoon tea and a selection of homemade cakes provided by The Maltings. The class costs £5 per person, but the 27th September has the special re-introductory offer of just £3.50 per person.
Maureen the Dance Teacher who leads the dance describes ‘ The Maltings is a beautiful venue ideal for dancing. I include Ballroom, Sequence, Latin and some Line Dancing within the programme to get people moving, and to make sure the dance caters for those with or without partners. We also have beginners corner and recaps for those who are new to dance or just need a little reminder! We want everyone to feel very welcome’
Claire Smith the Dancing for Fun and Better Health coordinator says ‘the class has been very popular and we are looking forward to getting the class back up and running after the summer break. Its a great chance to get dressed up and have a lovely afternoon out with friends and make new ones’
The class takes place on a monthly basis. For more information please contact Claire on 01487 849912 and to book your place on the class please contact The Maltings directly on 01353 662663.
