Charles Cousins has been named in the Great Britain squad for the 2010 World Rowing Championships in New Zealand.
The 21-year-old has been named in the quadruple scull alongside Sam Townsend, Bill Lucas ad Stephen Rowbotham.
They won bronze medals at the world cup regattas in Munich and Lucerne this year, and Townsend, Lucas and Cousins are all graduates of ‘Start’, the GB Rowing Team’s talent identification and development scheme.
The world championships run from October 31 to November 7 on Lake Karapiro, near Hamilton, and mark a key point in the countdown to London 2012, as the squad have been told to treat it as the start of the Olympic qualifying season.
