What do we mean by official?

An "official" is any person who is responsible for controlling a sporting acitivty. For example, in football the official is the referee or linesmen, in netball its the umpire, and in tennis it could be the line judge.

What do we mean by Administrator?

An "administrator" is someone who is usually involved in running a sports club or organisation. For example, a club chairman, secretary or treasurer.

More often than not, officials and administrators are volunteers, ie) unpaid workers. LIVING SPORT can provide advice and support to anyone interested in volunteering in sport and actively encourage those people who wish to develop their skills as an official or club administrator.
