Living Sport has a full time Disability Sport Coordinator who works with many different organisations to support sport opportunities for people with disabilities. The role works to link people with disabilities, disabled people organisations and local charities into the sports networks, so that every body regardless of disability or additional needs can access sport or physical activity that suits them and their aspirations in sport. Whether it be to get or remain active in some way to becoming Paralympic champion there is a sport out their for all.

One of our main networks is the Ability PLUS Group and the Disability Sports Forum for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The Ability PLUS Group is a network that promotes sport and active recreation for people with disabilities or additional needs. To find out more about Ability PLUS please click on the links to the right of this page.

We also work closely with National Disability Sport Organisations to enable people with specific impairments to access sport with their own impairment group. More information on the 8 National Disability Sport Organisations or NDSO’s and the work we do with them can be found here.

You can take a look a the types of projects we have been involved with following consultation events or if you would like ideas on how to get active and sports that are on offer across the county take a look at our Get Active section.

For Clubs and coaches there is plenty of advice out there to support people with a disability to access your sports clubs there is a whole section on this under Club and Coaches found here.
