Inspired by the Paralympics coming to Britain in 2012 and galvanised by the statistics provided in the Active People Survey (10.6% of adults with a disability living in Cambridgeshire actively participated in sport, compared to 23.2% of non-disabled adults) the Ability PLUS Group maintain a Sport Development Plan with the aim of improving the existing local offer and creating several new opportunities for people with a disability or additional needs to participate, organise, coach or volunteer in sport during the coming year.

This Development Plan gives clarity on how the Ability PLUS Group and its partners want to progress.
