Flexible free mapping tool providing runners, cyclists and walkers with an easy way to measure the distances of their runs, jogs, rides, walks and hikes using Google maps. It also provides training logs, altitude and elevation measuring and the ability to share routes. Energy used can be calculated per route and by method of transport (Run, Walk, Swim, Ski, Horse Ride, Canoe).

Walking Works

Walking Works aims to encourage more people to walk to and from work, and to walk more during their working day. We do this by running national events such as Walk to Work Week, Walk Champion schemes and by giving online support to people who pledge to walk more. As part of the campaign, we work directly with businesses to help them promote walking and encourage their employees to use walking as a way to travel actively.

Walking for Health (WfH) encourages more people to become physically active in their local communities.

Walk England promotes walking as a way to be healthy, travel and relax. The Walk England website is one of a portfolio of projects being delivered by the Travel Actively consortium of the leading walking, cycling and health organisations in England. Travel Actively is delivering fifty practical projects that will encourage people to travel actively for their health and well-being.
