With less than 100 days to go to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, this is the time to inspire young people in the county through sport.
The School Games is a chance for schools in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to build on their existing work and boost school sport by creating a year-round competition calendar for all students.
The School Games are funded by Sport England, the Department for Education and the Department of Health. It will include funding for School Games Organisers and outreach work from secondary schools to help improve take up of sport in primary schools. This is also an important opportunity to help the least active become more active leading to significant improvements in children and young people’s health outcomes.
