Other Sports Leadership Courses

In addition to the Community Sports Leaders (CSL) course and the Day Certificate in Sports Leadership, LIVING SPORT run the following Sports Leaders UK courses:

Level 1 Award in Sports Leadership

The Level 1 Award in Sports Leadership is a nationally recognised qualification that enables successful candidates to lead small groups in simple sport and recreational activities whilst under the direct supervision of their tutor.

The qualification teaches generic leadership skills such as organisation, planning, communication and teamwork through the medium of sport. It is a fun and practical qualification with no entrance requirements or final examinations to sit.

The award is open to anyone over the age of 14 and requires 30 hours of guided learning, with a one hour demonstration of leadership by each candidate.

Level 1 Award in Dance Leadership

The Level 1 Award in Dance Leadership is a nationally recognised qualification that enables successful candidates to lead small groups in simple dance activities whilst under the direct supervision of their tutor.

The qualification teaches generic leadership skills such as organisation, planning, communication and teamwork through the medium of dance. It is a fun and practical qualification with no entrance requirements or final examinations to sit.

Women, Get Set, Go

This is a personal development programme that has been specifically designed for women and girls 14 years and over. It encourage females to enter into community leisure leadership positions, and to develop their involvement both for their own benefit and for the benefit of the community in general.

The award encourages women and girls to communicate with confidence, value their own skills, understand how the world of sport and leadership works, and to develop a personal action plan for their future involvement in sports leadership. Each course lasts 15 hours on average.

- Level 3 Award in Higher Sports Leadership

- Level 2 Award in Basic Expedition Leadership

- Young Leader Award
