Power2Inspire Inclusive Cycling Festival coming soon

Power2Inspire is gearing up to deliver their first inclusive cycling festival is being organised in partnership with The Friends of Histon and Impington Recreation Ground, Outspoken Cycling, You Can Bike Too and South Cambs District Council to raise awareness of inclusive cycling opportunities in the local community. The event, which is part of the summer of inclusive sports festivals for Cambridge based charity Power 2 Inspire aims to break down barriers and enable fully inclusive sport to be developed in the community through sports development led approaches.

The event will run from 10.30am-1.30pm at Histon and Impington Recreation Ground on Sunday 3 September 2017, where there will be an opportunity to try the adapted bikes from the You Can Bike Too project, which enable disabled people to cycle accompanied by non disabled people; and there will also be led rides by instructors from Outspoken Cycling who will support disabled people to cycle along the route of the Strawberry 14 mile family ride happening that day. Registration opens at 10.00am at the recreation ground. To take part in the ride, participant fees are £10 family, or £5 adult, £2 children with all proceeds going to Power 2 Inspire. Poster for event
