Sport helps children grow and develop valuable qualities such as leadership, confidence and self-esteem, whilst providing opportunities for enjoyment and achievement.
LIVING SPORT believes that every child, young person and vulnerable adult has the right to have fun and be safe. We are committed to ensuring that regardless of age, culture, disability, gender, language, racial origin, religious belief or sexual identity they are safeguarded and protected from any forms of abuse, harm, mistreatment or neglect. This is, without exception, our primary concern.
In December 2010, LIVING SPORT passed the Advanced Safeguarding Standards, awarded by the CPSU. To find out more about the standards, please click here.
It is essential that any sporting organisation and anyone involved in sport adopts good practice when dealing with children and vulnerable adults, and ensures that their safety is paramount. Our role is to support you by providing guidance and advice. For any assistance, please contact LIVING SPORT’s Designated Child Protection Officer Claire Thorby at claire.thorby@livingsport.co.uk or on 01487 849923.
It is the responsibility of everyone to ensure sport activities are safe and FUN!!!
