Tandem Cycling and Guide Running Available in Fenland

Fenland based charity Cam Sight, who support local people living with sight loss and blindness are excited to have secured two Tandem Bikes which are located at the George Campbell Leisure Centre in March.  They are keen to hear from any visually impaired/blind people who would like to feel the wind in their hair and have a go at cycling.  They are delighted to have cyclists from a local Cycling Club to pilot the bikes, offering a wealth of experience, knowledge and confidence to support participants.  A taster day is being planned for March/April ’18 and they would love to hear from any of you who would like to participate or further Volunteers to pilot/maintain the bikes.

Also, for any of you who like walking or even jogging/running Cam Sight’s Community Volunteer Support Coordinator, Samantha Wool is a trained Guide runner via England Athletics and would love to hear from any of you who would like to get involved.  She is on the Core Event Team at March Parkrun which is held at West End Park, March every Saturday morning.  A free, relaxed and very inclusive/supportive event welcoming all walks of life from Mother and baby in the pram to 80+ years of age from the local community to join them in a walk/jog around the park.  Sam would be happy guide and talk to anyone who would like further information.

Please get in touch if you are concerned about your sight or if you would if you have some spare time and would like to find out more about Volunteering on 01223 420033 / 01945  660795 or email: info@camsight.org.uk  www.camsight.org.uk
