Walking Sports Activator Course

Group of older people playing walking basketballWalking sports do not have the high impact or strenuous level of activity that standard versions of the same games require so are an ideal opportunity for people to return to sport, recover from an injury or simply play the sport they used to enjoy but at a slower pace.

Living Sport is working in partnership with National Governing Bodies of Sport to help establish more opportunities across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

WALKING CRICKET ACTIVATOR WORKSHOP

Duration: 3 hrs

Group size: Minimum 12 candidates, suitable for cricket coaches, experienced players and sports centre staff.

Delivery Partner: ECB

What you will learn:

This workshop will give the candidate all the required tools to organise a walking cricket session and officiate a match.

Subjects covered include the reasons for walking cricket, the types of people who play the game, where to recruit players from, organising sessions and the technical aspects of the rules and regulations; finishing off with a walking cricket match.

Venue: Hive Leisure Centre, 15 Downham Road, Ely, Cambridgeshire, CB6 2FE

Date and time: Sunday 1 March 2020     10.30am-1.30pm
