This is a 1.30 hour workshop on how to effectively reach and engage more disabled people through inclusive practice utilising more accessible and better communication practices.


Participants will be able to:

  • Use data and insight to inform decision making
  • Understand the barriers to being physically active for disabled people (including information from during the pandemic)
  • Apply the Activity Alliance 10 Principles of good engagement and utilise coproduction for delivery
  • Understand how inclusive communications engages more than just disabled people
  • Use appropriate language when discussing or referring to disability
  • Identify the basic principles of inclusive communication, through online and offline activities
  • Access tips of embedding key principles in to your own communications strategies and activities.
