Is your sports club looking to engage with teenagers at this current time?

Are you seeking some funding to do some online delivery or to adapt delivery during this crisis?

Living Sport is currently seeking sports clubs who wish to access this funding from our Satellite Clubs COVID-19 Innovation Fund.

Introduction

The focus of this funding is to help current Satellite Clubs and non Satellite Clubs to engage with teenagers, through innovative ways to deliver over the next six months to help reduce the negative impact of COVID-19.

We are seeking new and creative ideas from clubs to engage with young people aged 14-19 years; that are supportive to them keeping physically active during this period of lockdown and gradual easing of restrictions.

Satellite Clubs COVID-19 Local Innovation Fund

Funding of up to: £300 per existing Satellite Club or £150 per community club/group.

(Please note that there are limited funds available for both categories, therefore awards will be prioritised based on need and target group)

 Ideas could include:

  • Delivery of regular virtual online activity
  • Development of sport specific challenges through social media
  • Downloadable challenge cards or printed resources
  • Sports equipment delivered to young people

*Please note that all activity must adhere to government guidelines, and funding will only be awarded to groups delivering in accordance to social distancing regulations.

We recognise that this is a challenging time for all, and Living Sport want to support you in continuing engagement with young people.

For non-satellite clubs, this is an opportunity to develop new ways of working with teenagers over the coming months, with the view to increasing your audience and reach in the local community.

  • Groups need to be eligible for Lottery funding, meaning that they need to have a recognised constitution and have relevant governance in place (If not yet at this stage support can be offered)

 Who we can’t fund

  • Activities promoting religious or political beliefs.
  • Individuals
  • Any private businesses or profit-making organisations unless they are a Social Enterprise or Community Interest Company or Sole traders

How to apply

Interested groups should contact Sally Gibson, Sports Delivery Co-ordinator to request a short application form on: [email protected] or 07395 798377

This will be followed by a telephone consultation with groups to discuss the project further, and Living Sport will support this being implemented. Awards will aim to be reviewed and, if successful, granted within a two week period after receiving your application.
