Emergency First Aid Course - 6th & 13th September 2022

This course is an IQL Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF qualification number 603/2080/1, unit reference number Y/615/8054) and is suitable for all sports coaches.  It is valid for 3 years as of the date of assessment.  The course is Trainer Assessed throughout, and the assessment should determine a learner’s ability to act safely, promptly and effectively when an emergency occurs learning how to deal with a casualty. 

The qualification comprises eight mandatory units:

• Role and responsibilities of a First Aider
• Incident assessment and primary survey
• Casualty management and recovery position
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Treatment for choking
• External bleeding
• Shock
• Minor injury

All assessment criteria in the units must be achieved and will comprise of:

• Observed practical on course assessments

• Multiple choice and short answer questionnaire

Please note that our courses are split over two evenings from 6.00pm–9.00pm and you must attend both dates to receive certification.

In the event of cancellation by the participant:

• Where we can, we will offer a transfer of your place to a later course where possible. 
• A full refund will be given if more than 21 days written notice is received.
• A 50% refund will be given if more than 7 days written notice is received.
• No refund will be given if Living Sport receives less than 7 days written notice.
• Living Sport has no obligation to give a refund once the course has already started.
• Refunds will only be offered in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the Head of Business Development.
