The Living Sport Festival of Running in partnership with Central England Co-operative is a great opportunity to set a winter training goal and keep active, healthy and motivated. All abilities are welcome – race at your pace!

Like lots of races in 2020 we’ve had to cancel our planned running events and we’ve all missed them so much. As a charity we've seen our events income plummet this year as a result. We use any funds raised for projects to improve the health, happiness and wellbeing of people in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire by supporting them to get active through participation in sport and physical activity. So we are really excited to be able to host the Living Sport Festival of Running - we promise it’ll be a lot of fun and we hope you’ll get involved!

Choose your distance

Choose to enter the 10 mile, 10km, 5km or 5km wheelchair distance. Walk, jog, push or run your chosen distance at any time this November. There will be marked routes at Nene Park for each distance or you can choose your own route.

Participate anywhere - choose your own route

All competitors are welcome!

If you want to complete your race anywhere else, you’re welcome to do so and submit your time for a different route – but it must be outside, not on a treadmill.

For your own safety, please be mindful of traffic, the highway code, vision, time of the day, look for quiet periods, stay off road if you can and most importantly, follow Government guidance regarding social distancing.

Living Sport Festival of Running Facebook Page

Whether it’s your first race or your 100th race, you are invited to join our online community on the Facebook event page, where we'll be supporting with lots of content and motivation.

Please feel free to share tips, ask advice, post photos – we hope this will be a positive community where new and experienced runners can meet.

Submitting your time

You can either use a tracking app (like Nike NRC, Asics Runkeeper or Strava) to record your race - or a good old-fashioned watch.

You'll be able to submit your time via the website link below and we’ll be using an age-graded calculator to create a weekly leaderboard for each distance as well as final results.

Living Sport will share the leaderboard via the running festival Facebook Event Page. At the close of the festival the leader for each distance will receive a £25 Decathlon voucher. We’ll also be running a spot prize for the best #LSFestofRun2020 photo shared on our Facebook Event Page. The leaderboard and spot prize winners will be announced at the Living Sport Virtual Sports Awards 2020 showing on 3rd December at 7pm on the Living Sport Facebook Page.

Living Sport Festival of Running 2020 Medals and T-shirts

Everyone completing any distance will receive a Living Sport Festival of Running medal and T-shirt or the opportunity to donate to Trees not Tees. Medals and T-shirts will be available for collection from the Nene Park Visitor Centre. If you are running your own route medals and T-shirts will be sent in the post.
