After a year away (for you know what), we are excited to be hosting the Four Seasons Summer 10K and 5K on 4th July 2021 at the beautiful Ferry Meadows at Nene Park. It’s been a long time since we were able to get together, hasn’t it?

Living Sport welcomes those new to running and experienced runners to our friendly Four Seasons Races and everyone finishing will receive a unique wooden medal, option to purchase a fabulous race t-shirt or, through our partnership with Trees not Tees, the option to plant a tree instead of a race t-shirt.

The proceeds from Living Sport events go directly back to our work. As a charity we are dedicated to improving the health, happiness and wellbeing of people in Peterborough & Cambridgeshire by supporting them to get active.

We work with local partners to create opportunities and conditions for an active population using the power of sport and physical activity to transform lives.

To celebrate these partnerships, and as part of first ever #ThankYouDay (thankyouday.org.uk) – part of https://together.org.uk/ coalition events, we’re giving 70 of our race places to local charities, so their supporters can participate and fundraise to further their excellent work. Covid-19 has had a devastating impact on so many people, and it’s tested us in ways we never expected. But for many of us, it has also bought us closer together. Closer to our families and to our communities.

We aren’t always great at saying thank you to each other. But this year, we want to be part of changing that. To choose one day where we all say thank you - to remember what binds us together, not just what pushes us apart.

We all have different people to thank, from family members to key workers, good neighbours to volunteers; At Living Sport, recognising the close links between physical and mental health, we want to thank the charities in our region that have done incredible work supporting our mental health and communities over the last 18 months.

The event marks the return of Living Sport's popular Four Seasons Series with Autumn, Winter and Spring events to follow – other dates scheduled are 19th September and 14th November for 2021.

2022 dates tbc.

The event on 19th September will be part of a wider weekend Peterborough Festival that is being planned at Nene Park – to celebrate and thank the community for their efforts over the pandemic.

As soon as details are available to share, we will!
