Having overcome a personal obstacle or challenge, this award recognises outstanding achievement or valued contribution to their sport in the face of adversity.

Nominees for this category will be considered against the following criteria:

  • Shown great personal endeavour to overcome adversity.
  • Achieved something above and beyond in developing themselves or helping others or making a difference.
  • Made a significant impact to a sports club, organisation, community, or school locally, through sport and physical activity or other means (e.g. fundraising, volunteering, motivating via social media).
  • Been a role model for others during lockdown and raised the profile of their sport/cause locally.

The shortlist for each category will be announced mid November, and the winners crowned at the virtual awards ceremony on Facebook Live at 7pm on 3rd December - get the date in the diary, we promise it'll be one not to miss!
