We want to hear from youth groups, youth clubs, community centres and local community groups who are interested in taking part in our Community “Dragons' Den” satellite clubs project.

The project is open to all young people aged 14-19 years in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

Do you have an idea for a youth led community sport or physical activity club in your area?

The sessions must link with Living Sport strategic objectives:

  • Young people with a disability/long term health condition
  • BAME Young people (Black and Minority Ethnic)
  • Disadvantaged communities (low socio economic)
  • LGBT community
  • Young people with mental health conditions
  • Supporting the development of opportunities in new growth communities
  • Identified areas of need

Ideas must be youth led; from ideas, to consultation with peers, to planning, budgeting, researching and presenting the “pitch”. Sessions must be open to young people aged 14-19 years, be fully inclusive, and must take place after school or at weekends in local community spaces. Funding of up to £1500 is available. Please note that there are limited amounts of funding available for this project.

Applications are now open : in the first instance, please contact Sally Gibson – Sports Delivery Co-ordinator: [email protected] for further information about the Dragons Den process and how this can be implemented into your project ideas.

Please note that if successful, you will be required to complete registers of young people attending, along with case studies to show the difference the funding has made.

Application form can be downloaded here.
