Sunday 4th July is the UK's first ever Thank You Day, and we’re joining alongside some amazing organisations including the NHS, Royal Voluntary Service and the Scouts to say thank you by giving 70 race places to local charities.

Covid-19 has had a devastating impact on so many people, and it’s tested us in ways we never expected. But for many of us, it has also bought us closer together. Closer to our families and to our communities.

We aren’t always great at saying thank you to each other. But this year, we want to be part of changing that. To choose one day where we all say thank you - to remember what binds us together, not just what pushes us apart.

We all have different people to thank, from family members to key workers, good neighbours to volunteers; At Living Sport, recognising the close links between physical and mental health, we want to thank the charities in our region that have done incredible work supporting our mental health and communities over the last 18 months.

Living Sport works with a range of local partners to create opportunities and conditions for an active population using the power of sport and physical activity to transform lives.

To celebrate these partnerships, and as part of Thank You Day, we have given local charities 70 race places at our Summer 10k and 5k taking place on 4th July, so their supporters can participate and fundraise to further their excellent work.

After being put on hold as a result of the pandemic, Living Sport Four Seasons Races are back and are scheduled to take place throughout the year starting with the Summer 10k and 5k on 4th July at Ferry Meadows at Nene Park, Peterborough.

On a hard-surfaced, mainly flat route around the beautiful parklands, runners will run alongside the picturesque lakes, through the woodlands and next to the green meadows.

Everyone finishing will receive a unique medal, option to purchase a fabulous race t-shirt or, through our partnership with Trees not Tees, the option to plant a tree instead of a race t-shirt.

The proceeds from Living Sport race events go directly back to our work. As a charity we are dedicated to improving the health, happiness and wellbeing of people in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire by supporting them to get active.
