The Play With Pride coach education workshop is going digital!

Following the successful workshops last year, in which over 40 coaches came together to learn about how to be more inclusive in their coaching practice, Living Sport is delighted to be able to bring the course direct to coaches living rooms across the county.

Play With Pride was a National Lottery funded programme aiming to address the inequality in physical activity levels for members of the LGBTQ+ community and support sports clubs and coaches to be more inclusive across the county, you can read further information on the successful programme here.

What will you learn?

The two hour course, delivered by local LGBTQ+ charity The Kite Trust, will give you an introduction to correct LGBTQ+ terminology, discussing the differences between gender and sex and how to be inclusive of this within your practice. The training will also discuss the Gender Equality Act 2010, explaining why you should be inclusive of this within your practice. The training will provide you with a 'Rainbow Rating' checklist, which will help you assess the inclusivity of your club, and Living Sport will support you should you wish to make any changes as a result of the information you learn.
