Having given long-term outstanding service to sport, this award recognises their sustained and unique contribution to people’s lives, telling a compelling story about the impact they have had on individuals and the wider community.

Nominees for this category will be considered against the following criteria:

  • Made a substantive contribution to local sport over many years, helping people to be more active, improving health and quality of life.
  • Made a significant impact to a local club, community, organisation or school.
  • Shown a commitment to personal development, teamwork and supporting the development of others.

Nominations and voting for this year's Sports Awards are now closed.

The shortlist for each category will be announced mid November, and the winners crowned at the virtual awards ceremony on Facebook Live at 7pm on 3rd December - get the date in the diary, we promise it'll be one not to miss!
