Superhero Series

Grab your cape and stay super-active this winter at home or at school!

Your Mission: At Home Winter Wonderwheels, 20th November to 5th December 2021

As an official Charity Friend of the Superhero Series, the UK’s one and only disability sports series, we’re super excited for you to be a part of the perfect mission to keep you super-charged this winter – At Home Winter Wonderwheels powered by Marvel!

Check out Channel 4's At Home Superheroes programme to see just how much fun you can have!

Become a Superhero Participant or a Super Sidekick!

If you or a family member, friend or colleague considers themselves to have a disability (of any kind), you can choose to fly solo or team up with family and friends for your super mission. Or get involved as a school to give pupils a super fun winter challenge.

You can clock up your target distance in a number of ways, whether swimming, running or using your SUPER senses this winter, anything goes!

We need Superheroes and Sidekicks to help us reach our fundraising target of £3000. All funds raised through the At Home Winterwheels challenge will go directly to our work in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to improve health, happiness and wellbeing by supporting people to be active.

To register for a Living Sport free charity place, sign up below before 29th October. We will send you registration instructions and details of the fundraising page.

The Super Mission

This super flexible challenge lets you join the fun wherever and however you wish! The perfect motivation to keep you active through the colder months.

You can set your own super goal depending on your personal circumstance, from 100m to 1,000km or more, and every distance, great and small, will go towards your SUPER team’s goal.

When:
Superheroes and Sidekicks can complete their challenge on one day, over a few days or use the whole mission time, from 20th November to 5th December.

Where: Wherever you want! Your living room, garden, local park, street, school, countryside… The choice is yours.

How: You can run, walk, wheel, cycle, swim, skate, climb, sniff, taste and more towards your mission… Or a combo of any/all the above! All ‘gadgets and gismos’ are welcome, from souped-up wheelchairs and adaptive bikes to canoes and rollerblades!

Using your super senses: Some of you may wish to unleash your sensory superpowers towards your At Home goal. Head to the Superhero Series website for some super ideas, or feel free to come up with your own sensory challenges. Then simply convert each sensory achievement into kilometres to add to your super target!

Dress code: We hope you’ll jump into the fun spirit of the event and dress up in Superhero costumes! (And please do share your super challenge photos and videos to help motivate other Superheroes and Sidekicks taking part). You'll find some Super costume ideas here.

Super Race Packs: For all your hard work, you will receive a Super Race Pack in the post – including a medal, T-shirt and finish line tape for those celebratory finish-line moments.

Don't miss out, our free places are limited. ENTRIES NOW CLOSED.

Living Sport's Rebecca Evans took in the summer At Home Superheroes challenge - read Rebecca's story here.

With thanks to our sponsor:
