The Daily Mile™ Climb Mount Mile - Base Camp Welcome to Base Camp! Thank you for joining us. We want you to have fun and stay safe so please ensure you are following the latest guidance issued by the government when taking part. This is where we assemble to launch our expedition up Mount Mile. It may seem impossible, but if we tackle Mount Mile little by little and together, we will get to the top in no time! Let’s get our backpacks ready for our expedition. If you could only take 3 things with you in your backpack, what would they be? Notes: this could be used to encourage creative thinking – say that essentials (e.g. food, clothes etc) will be provided. Encourage them to think about 3 things they love and cherish and would want to help them through a challenge! Here is a video from The Daily Mile Local Champion, Paralympian, Sam Ruddock to start you on your journey. Mount Mile Posters You can print a picture of the mountain here (inksaver version) or here (full colour version) and tick off each time you complete your Daily Mile (15 minutes of running ideally outside in the fresh air). If you don't have a printer and would like us to send you a copy please contact us here. When you get to 7 days of runs/ climbs on your mountain you will unlock another resource. If you are completing from home please log on to Playwaze and you will automatically unlock the link to the next resource when you reach 7 days. If you are a school please email our Daily Mile Coordinators at [email protected] and we will send you the next link/ resources.
