Walking Sport Activators – Casual (self employed) Opportunities initially within Hockey and Rugby Union We are looking for enthusiastic Walking Sports Activators with the passion to work within local communities across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough delivering a variety of daytime, evening and weekend sessions over the coming months. Activators will ideally have experience delivering sport and physical activity opportunities and/or Walking Sport activities to older people. Activators must hold an accredited Walking Sport Activator certificate (where appropriate), along with safeguarding and first aid certificates and ideally have attended a Coaching Older People workshop. Applicants must have good time-management, be disciplined and organised, have a flexible approach to working hours and be able to think quickly on their feet and adapt to whatever the session requires. Applicants will be required to promote, plan and deliver walking sport sessions, engage with participants and mentor volunteers in the community to ensure sustainability.
